Friuli
The Friuli Venezia Giulia, where the Pighin family have their roots, is one of the most suitable white wine-growing regions in the world. It was already well-known during the Roman age.
The 500 acres of vineyards that lie in the plain area included in the Friuli Grave production area are the most substantial portion of the Pighin Family wineries.
Grave
In this renowned zone, the geological variation is quite pronounced, and this phenomenon led to a careful selection of varieties best suited to each mesoclimate within the Pighin estate.
The pebbly, alluvial soils of the plain bring minerality to the wines, in particular to the whites, which are fresh and balanced, and never too firm. The climate also contributes to the quality of the wine thanks to warm, airy summers and a proper amount of rain.
Pighin
The Pighin family has become a worldwide known emblem of Friulian Wine.
